THYROID TESTING
Hair + Blood
THYROID HORMONE BLOOD TESTS
(4 or More Tests)
A Clinical Nutrition Analysis of the Thyroid Hormone Tests (T3, T4, FTI, TSH) and a Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) identifies the deficiencies or excesses that affect thyroid hormone balance. Thyroid Hormone imbalance leads to:
Abnormal weight gain/loss,
Temperature Imbalances (too cold,/hot),
Chronic Fatigue,
Hypo- and Hyper-Thyroidism,
Menstrual Infrequency,
Palpitations,
Mental Confusion,
Lack of Concentration,
and much more.
Due to Insurance and Medicare Limitations on the number of blood tests they will reimburse to physicians, today, only the Thyroid Stimulating Hormone [TSH], which is only one of four thyroid tests, is routinely tested for a medical thyroid diagnosis. However, Dr. Smith tests all four thyroid hormone bloodtests. A saliva thyroid, hair tissue mineral test and a thyroid blood tests are required for a complete evaluation of the thyroid. However, until thyroid saliva testing is available in the U.S., the four thyroid blood tests and a hair test provide the most information available to evaluation the thyroid.
Thyroid blood testing alone is not sufficient to evaluate the thyroid. To understand why, read "A Typical Occurrence Today Regarding Thyroid Dysfunction (Hypo or Hyper-Thyroid).
What Is Not Commonly Known About ADRENAL AND THYROID GLANDS
The Adrenal and Thyroid Glands are back-ups for Hormone Production and Balance in the later stages or years of life for men (andropause) and women (such as in meno-pause, post-menopause or in the event of a Hysterectomy).
Also, Hormone balance is dependent upon mineral balance and vice versa. Therefore, both saliva and tissue mineral hair analysis are required to obtain a complete hormone analysis for men and women. For example, women may have weakened the healthy function of both their adrenals and thyroid glands prior to the age of menopause due to the fast-paced, non-stop stressful American lifestyles, long-term use of Birth Control Pills and other Hormone-related Drug Therapy.
Then when their ovaries and uterus shut down its hormone production as a natural process of menopause, they do not have strong adrenal and thyroid glands to produce estrogen, progesterone, testosterone and other female hormones required to maintain healthy bones, breast tissue, etc.
Thus, this may lead to more serious health conditions that begin to surface as early as 35-45 years of age.
Therefore, they may experience long-term PMS, irregular periods then later pre-mature hot flashes or hot sweats, and depression.
For the preventive-minded individual, both men and women benefit from regular monitoring of and correction of adrenal and thyroid function in their earlier years to maintain health in their later years.

A TYPICAL OCCURRENCE TODAY REGARDING....
THYROID DYSFUNCTION (HYPO OR HYPER-THYROID)
Anyone taking, for example, thyroid hormone drug therapy, based on abnormal medical thyroid hormone blood chemistry values alone, may cause damage to their thyroid, when the true cause of hypo- or hyper-thyroid hormone imbalance in the blood is Mineral deficiencies or excesses.
In other words, the thyroid glands are functioning normally and producing thyroid hormones, but the minerals are not transporting them to the cells, so the hormones are sent to the blood, which will then transport the hormones to the liver, so the liver can change the unused hormones to a water-soluble substance that can then be eliminated from the body.
This metabolic process occurs whether it is hormones are from glands of the thyroid, adrenals, female/male, etc., or the other endocrine substances, such as insulin from the pancreas. Thus, even in the case of diabetes, the blood sugar imbalance may not be from a lack of insulin production from the pancreas, but the lack of the minerals to transport the insulin. Therefore, a Tissue Mineral Hair Analysis is required for mineral evaluation along with any other cellular test (saliva, urine or stool) and blood testing.
This applies to all hormones, thyroids, adrenals, male/female, pituitary, hypothalmus, thymus, etc.

You may have noticed Google is now placing a padlock icon to the left of some website addresses as an attempt to designate "secure" vs. "unsecure" website. They are particularly interested in adding padlocks to website to assure the public that websites with shopping carts are secure for financial transactions, and not so much as a way to say the website is free of malware.
Our website does not have a shopping cart because it is what is termed an "information only" website. So our website has no need for a padlock. Regardless of the reason, they are unable to add the padlock to our secure website because it is an older web design from the 1990's. Therefore, no matter what warnings they may give you, rest assured that this website is secure.
